Berry Banana Smoothie

Berry Banana Smoothie

Berry Banana Smoothie is a thick, naturally sweet blend of ripe banana and mixed berries that drinks like a treat but fuels you like a meal. The banana lends creamy body while the berries bring a tangy brightness and a gorgeous color. It is the perfect grab-and-go breakfast or refreshing afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 150 g mixed berries
  • 200 ml milk or plant milk
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp (optional) honey

Instructions

  1. Peel one ripe banana, break it into chunks, and ideally use it frozen for the creamiest texture.
  2. Add the banana to a blender along with one cup of mixed frozen berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
  3. Pour in three quarters of a cup of milk or a dairy-free alternative to help everything blend smoothly.
  4. Add a tablespoon of yogurt and a drizzle of honey if you want extra creaminess and sweetness.
  5. Blend on high for forty-five to sixty seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed, until completely smooth with no chunks remaining.
  6. Check the consistency and add a splash more milk if it is too thick to pour, then blend briefly again.
  7. Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately while cold and frothy for the best texture.

💡 Chef's tip

Use a frozen banana instead of ice, because freezing the fruit gives the smoothie a thick, creamy milkshake-like texture without watering down the flavor the way melting ice does.

Using a frozen banana instead of ice keeps the smoothie thick and cold without watering down the flavor the way melting ice does.
