Ingredients
- 250 ml strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup ice
- 60 ml milk or cream
- to taste sugar or syrup
- optional vanilla
Instructions
- Brew the coffee extra strong and let it cool, or use cold brew.
- Stir any sugar or syrup into the warm coffee so it dissolves fully.
- Fill a tall glass with ice, ideally coffee ice cubes.
- Pour the cooled coffee over the ice.
- Top with milk or cream.
- Stir and serve, adding a splash of vanilla if you like.
💡 Chef's tip
Freeze leftover coffee into ice cubes and use those instead of regular ice, so your drink only gets more coffee-flavored as it melts.
Brewing the coffee extra strong, or using cold brew, prevents the melting ice from watering down the flavor into something weak and bitter.
