Ingredients

  • 3 cups brewed black tea, chilled
  • 3 cups lemonade
  • to garnish lemon slices
  • to serve ice
  • optional fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Brew the black tea slightly strong and let it cool completely.
  2. Prepare or pour the lemonade.
  3. Fill tall glasses with ice.
  4. Pour equal parts chilled tea and lemonade over the ice.
  5. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices and mint and serve.

💡 Chef's tip

Adjust the ratio to taste; a classic is half and half, but more lemonade makes it sweeter and more tea makes it bolder.

Brewing the tea a little stronger than usual keeps it from getting washed out once it is combined with the lemonade and poured over melting ice.
