Peach Iced Tea
Peach iced tea is a fragrant, lightly sweet summer drink made with real peaches and freshly brewed tea. A homemade peach syrup gives it natural fruit flavor far beyond any bottled version. Serve it over ice with peach slices for a refreshing afternoon cooler.

- 3 ripe peaches, sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- to serve ice
- to garnish peach slices
Instructions
- Simmer the sliced peaches with the sugar and 1 cup of water until soft and syrupy, about 10 minutes, then strain.
- Bring the remaining water to a boil, then remove from heat and steep the tea bags for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.
- Stir the peach syrup into the brewed tea.
- Chill until cold.
- Serve over ice with fresh peach slices.
💡 Chef's tip
Do not over-steep the tea; bitter, over-brewed tea will overpower the delicate peach flavor.
Simmering fresh peaches into a syrup extracts their true flavor and natural sweetness, infusing the tea far more deeply than simply adding peach juice would.
