Classic Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
- 500 ml milk
- 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Warm the milk gently in a pan, not boiling.
- Whisk in the chopped chocolate until melted and smooth.
- Add sugar, vanilla and a pinch of salt.
- Pour into mugs and top as you like.
💡 Chef's tip
Heat the milk gently and never boil it - scorched milk turns the whole cup grainy and bitter.
Melting real chopped chocolate into the milk (instead of cocoa powder) gives a glossy, velvety cup with deep flavor and a luxurious body.
