Chicken Korma

Chicken korma is a mild, creamy Indian curry with tender chicken in a rich sauce of onions, yogurt, and ground nuts. It is fragrant and luxurious without much heat, making it a family favorite. Serve it with basmati rice or naan to soak up the velvety sauce.

Ingredients

  • 700 g chicken thighs, cubed
  • 2 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/3 cup ground cashews
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • to taste whole spices

Instructions

  1. Fry the onions in oil until deeply golden, then blend into a paste.
  2. Saute the whole spices, then add the ginger garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken and brown lightly.
  4. Stir in the onion paste, ground cashews, garam masala, and yogurt.
  5. Add a little water and simmer for 20 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  6. Finish with cream, season, and serve with rice or naan.
