Air Fryer Chicken Thighs
Air fryer chicken thighs come out with shatteringly crisp skin and juicy meat in under 30 minutes. The circulating heat renders the fat and crisps the skin far better than a conventional oven, with almost no cleanup. Serve them with any side for an easy, satisfying dinner.

Ingredients
- 6 bone-in chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- to taste salt and pepper
Instructions
- Pat the chicken thighs very dry and rub with oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Let them sit 15 minutes while the air fryer preheats to 200C (400F).
- Place the thighs skin-side down in a single layer in the basket.
- Air fry for 12 minutes.
- Flip the thighs skin-side up and air fry 10 to 14 minutes more until the skin is crisp and the internal temperature reaches 75C (165F).
- Rest for 5 minutes so the juices settle, then serve.
💡 Chef's tip
Pat the thighs completely dry and salt them 15 minutes ahead, which draws out surface moisture for crackling skin.
Starting the thighs skin-side down for the first half, then flipping, renders the fat and gives the crispiest possible skin on both sides.
