Maple Glazed Salmon

Maple Glazed Salmon

Maple glazed salmon is tender, flaky fish coated in a sweet and savory maple-soy glaze. The glaze caramelizes into a glossy, sticky finish as it bakes. It is an easy, elegant dinner ready in under 30 minutes, perfect for cozy fall nights.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C (400F).
  2. Whisk the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, and Dijon into a glaze.
  3. Place the salmon on a lined tray and brush with the glaze.
  4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, brushing with more glaze halfway.
  5. Broil for 2 minutes for a caramelized top.
  6. Rest briefly and serve with the pan glaze spooned over.

💡 Chef's tip

Brush on an extra layer of glaze in the last few minutes and broil briefly for a deeply caramelized, sticky top.

The sugars in the maple syrup caramelize under the heat, forming a glossy lacquered glaze while keeping the salmon moist underneath.
